NSS Rules & Code of Conduct

Regular Attendance: Every volunteer must attend a minimum of 120 hours of community service over two years, including a 7-day residential camp.

Discipline: Maintain discipline and uphold the dignity of the NSS at all times. Follow the instructions of the Programme Officer and senior volunteers.

Uniform: Wear the prescribed NSS uniform (white kurta / shirt, khaki trousers, NSS cap, and badge) during all NSS activities and events.

Punctuality: Be punctual for all meetings, drives, camps, and activities. Latecomers may be marked absent.

Teamwork: Work collaboratively with fellow volunteers and the local community. Respect diverse opinions and backgrounds.

No Discrimination: NSS is open to all. Discrimination based on caste, creed, religion, or gender is strictly prohibited.

Care for Equipment: Take care of NSS property, equipment, and materials. Any damage due to negligence may result in penalty.

Drug & Alcohol Free: Consumption of alcohol, tobacco, or any intoxicants during NSS activities is strictly forbidden and will lead to immediate dismissal.
